Foundation Law Arizona, formerly The Law Office of Elizabeth S. Thuenen, opened its doors in 2017 with a mission to help clients prevent problems that can lead to conflicts later. Elizabeth initially focused on the contractual needs of local small businesses, as well as real estate owners in Pinal County. Her passion for both business and real estate and a combination of legal, business, and accounting education provides unique insights for entrepreneurs and investors.
Over time, Elizabeth’s clients required estate planning advice to protect their Arizona businesses and property for their families. A wide range of services includes wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, special needs planning, and probate and trust administration. Having worked with a CPA for five years, she understands tax laws that apply to trusts, estates, small businesses, and property transfers and can minimize or eliminate tax consequences under a variety of circumstances.
Elizabeth’s choice to offer special needs planning comes from personal experience with her nephew with autism. Prior to law school, she worked with him and other children with autism as a habilitation and respite provider. It gives her a unique understanding of the challenges families of special needs loved ones face.
Elizabeth grew up in Mesa, AZ, and is licensed to practice law in Arizona. She received her Juris Doctor in 2016 from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, and an MBA in 2015 from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management. Before that, she obtained a BS in political science from Arizona State University. When Elizabeth isn’t working, she enjoys watching hockey, visiting the many Disney theme parks, and delving into Star Wars through all mediums.
